He described the experience of watching Banfield talk about a date as mind-blowing, saying "I cried walking home." Cow Photographer drew a striking comparison between Banfield and Chris Chan, noting that while Chris Chan is "obviously invisibly autistic," Jerry Banfield is "just like a 40-year-old guy that looks pretty normal and healthy" but with "a complete soulless" quality.
