"He fired a bunch of staffers because he's going to he's preparing to drop his show down to one new show a week," one host explained. The rest of the week's programming will consist of taped reruns from his archives. The hosts expressed bewilderment at the operation, questioning why Stern still maintains two channels (Howard 100 and Howard 101) when the content is almost entirely reruns and the host rarely goes into the studio.
