Shuli Egar Weaponises the Kate Meaney Tapes After YouTube Strikes
"John, you're the producer of this show now. You dictate what we watch and listen to on this show from here on out." — Shuli Egar
Shuli Egar has made a nuclear declaration: if Stuttering John continues to file "frivolous" DMCA strikes against the Shuli Network, Shuli will retaliate by playing the infamous Kate Meaney tapes. After John successfully took Shuli's channel down for a week, Shuli decided he would no longer "sit there and take it." He argues that since John is striking clips of his recent shows, Shuli will pivot to playing un-copyrighted private recordings. The context involves a long-running legal and digital battle between the two. John has been using the DMCA system to strike any channel that plays clips of his show, even though he previously admitted on video that he understands "fair use" thanks to a schooling by Royce. The Kate Meaney tapes—recordings of John speaking privately about those close to him—are considered "plutonium" in the community and are even mentioned in John's own legal complaints. John's reaction was immediate and "dishevelled." He claimed to have called his attorney to report Shuli's "stupidity," calling it the "dumbest fucking thing I've ever seen a defendant do." Shuli, however, remains defiant, telling John: "You're the producer of this show now. You dictate what we watch and listen to... how about that?" Karl admitted that while he usually advises against "going down to his level," John finally broke him, and he now supports playing the tapes. The situation is escalating rapidly. John is threatening more legal action, while Shuli has already begun dipping back into the tapes as a counter-measure to John's strikes. As Karl pointed out, John is essentially "begging them" to do this by continuing to strike their channels and disrupt their livelihoods.
