Annie

The show has dropped many hints about Annie being gay (intentionally or not) so I've compiled a lot of them here. In the first season, Annie is very envious of Britta. She's the cool girl that's not afraid to be herself that Annie wants to be. As a result, she only dates men Britta has preapproved of (Vaughn and Jeff), to be more like her, not because she actually likes them. When she was in a relationship with Vaughn, she changed to be more like him, and its proven through the series that Annie does this a lot because she doesn't like herself.

But Nick absolutely knows he is gay and had no intentions of ever marrying her. It’s clear from some of the things he says to try to seem “manly”, which always comes off weird. Annie may seem erratic but that’s for people who don’t understand the underlying mechanism of what’s happening here.

While speaking with Nick, 28, in the pods, he subsequently asked Annie whether coming out as queer was “a fad.” <strong>Annie seemingly agreed with her eventual fiancé</strong>. “I don’t think being gay is a fad, period,” she stressed on Tuesday.
