His writing credits on major Comedy Central roasts -- Charlie Sheen in 2011 and Rob Lowe in 2016 -- gave him mainstream comedy credentials. He also became a regular performer at Friars Club roasts, including notable roasts of Rich Vos and Dee Snider. These experiences honed the combative comedic voice that would define his podcast career. In 2016, Bisconte and Aaron Berg launched In Hot Water on Anthony Cumia's Compound Media network.
