John Cerasani

John Cerasani was born on March 26, 1978, in Chicago, Illinois. He played college football as a tight end at both the University of Notre Dame and Northwestern University before transitioning to the business world. At age 27, Cerasani quit his corporate insurance job to found his own company, Northwest Comprehensive Inc., from his kitchen table with limited capital, competing directly against much larger employers in the employee benefits space. From 2005 to 2015, Cerasani served as president of Northwest Comprehensive Inc., working with mid-sized employers on employee benefit program implementation and brokerage. In 2015, he sold the company to Risk Strategies for tens of millions of dollars, achieving what he called a 2000 percent raise -- a story he later documented in his 2022 self-help book of the same name. After initially retiring at 37, Cerasani founded Glencrest Global in 2020, a venture capital firm through which he has invested in over 30 ventures spanning hospitality, real estate, technology, sports, and food industries. Cerasani became a prominent social media personality with nearly 800,000 Instagram followers and close to 600,000 YouTube subscribers, primarily through his blackjack gambling content and entrepreneurial motivation. He hosts multiple platforms including the 2000 Percent Raise podcast and The Partner, a YouTube entrepreneur competition show mixing elements of The Apprentice and Shark Tank.
