Karl Hamburger is the creator and host of Who Are These Podcasts? (WATP), the podcast review show that inadvertently spawned an entire media ecosystem known as the Dabbleverse. Since launching WATP in 2017, Karl has built a community around the systematic deconstruction of bad podcasts, combining methodical note-taking with dry comedic delivery to produce what fans consider the gold standard of podcast criticism. His relentless coverage of Stuttering John Melendez's spiraling career became the gravitational center around which dozens of shows, personalities, and running jokes now orbit. Karl is, in every meaningful sense, the architect of the Dabbleverse. Known on-air as "Club-footed Carl," Karl opens shows with his signature "Slaparoonie" and addresses his audience as "Cuzaroos." He co-hosts the spin-off Who Are These Socials? with Blind Mike and organizes DabbleCon, live weekend events devoted to Stuttering John hilarity and crossover performances. Karl is a frequent guest on The Anthony Cumia Show and has done crossover episodes with Dick Masterson's The Dick Show, even guest-hosting it.
